When I arrived I was greeted by the driver of the shuttle who was very helpful in giving me ideas of where to go for dinner that night. The girl at the desk knew my name & made me feel welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. I will stay again the next time I go to Norfolk.

Rooms are overpriced, run-down and the hotel needs some serious updates and fixing up. Wall paper is coming off the walls, tubs are old, the thick layer of furniture polish put me into an asthma attack, and the outdoor pool is small. Staff was not very accomodating. Room didn't get cleaned until way in the afternoon. BED WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. This was all on the club level!!!!!!!!!!! Club level benefits not available on Monday mornings. Restaurant was not very good. Pay a little more to stay elsewhere.

I was worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews. But I have to say, the hotel was great. My rooms was clean and the bed was the best! They must have put in new carpet in the hallways because it still had that new carpet smell. I really liked the Max & Erma's restaurant in the hotel. The service was very good as well. The older lady in the lobby gives everyone a big hug to welcome you each day. You don't see that very often. The hotel is building an indoor pool, but I didn't hear any noise from the construction. The fitness center had great PreCor equipment with personal tv's. Overall, a great hotel and I would stay there again.

We reserved our room with Hilton on the Hilton website. They give a great description of beautiful rooms and bathrobes with deep tubs and statements of relaxation and a spa like experience... all BS. The ONLY thing this room had going for it was the bed was soft and plush as described. The bathroom was SMALL. the bathtub SMALL bathrobes and a spa like experience... only if you pay for it by getting a room ofn the executive level... which we did happen to go check out and the rooms EXACTLY the same jus had a bathrobe on the ends of the bed what a joke! Out window had the view of the top of the roof... like you could step out onto it if you wanted to. And did I mention the chicken wing and dead pigeon 2 feet from our window? Noisy air condioners just outside the window with squeaky belts. And a staff that was entirely unhelpful or sympathetic. We checked out early and have lost ALL faith in the Hilton brand. Wallpaper was coming off the wall, large nail holes, poor patch jobs on the wallpaper, crap stain on the leather chair at desk. I could keep going!! DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
